Budding stars are Born to Perform

ORMONDE – Local stars will join forces with the budding stars of tomorrow on stage for one night only in the Born to Perform Gala Concert.

Created by Gemma Marinus Donnelly of Stage Worx

and Matthew Marinus of The Graeme Watkins Project, Born to Perform is to help create professional opportunities for young, talented children and teens.

Stars such as Daniel Baron, Watkins, Nathan Ro and Cito will perform with a host of talented youngsters to show the city what they’re made of.

Donnelly said, “We are lucky enough to have such strong industry support and have managed to gain assistance from some top industry players. “Having these artists performing with our young stars will not only give the youngsters an experience of a lifetime but also hopefully encourage other producers to create opportunities in the industry for them.”

Last but not least, is their plan to create a new teen group, The Buzz, in the hope of creating a market for young South African singers. This will be debuting in July. If you’ve got the talent, it’s recommended you send your details and a clip of you performing to info@borntoperform.co.za

The Born to Perform Gala Concert will take place on 1 July at 7.30pm at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City.
