Around the world and back to combat cancer

Dilana will embark on a four-concert tour titled Beautiful Pink Monster, performing tracks from her latest album, Beautiful Monster, and donating funds from the tour to PinkDrive.

Leaving school at age 16 in pursuit of her singing aspirations, she quickly rose to become one of the most coveted artists in Holland.

She released an album titled Wonderfool in 2000, but its success remained mainly regional.

It was when she entered the reality show Rock Star Supernova that her future in the limelight was sealed.

Dilana is acclaimed by a number of international magazines who explain that she captivated audiences with her powerful, husky voice as soon as she stepped onto the Mayan Theatre’s stage in Los Angeles and performed Lithium by Nirvana.

She has performed with, and opened for, several big names in the music business including the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Aerosmith and Gilby Clark of Guns ‘n Roses, to name a few.

With all the international success she’s received, she still finds time to do what she loves and gives back and it is for this reason that she has partnered with PinkDrive to assist in raising funds for cancer research and awareness campaigns.

All PinkDrive mobile units travel to semi-urban and urban areas around South Africa with the aim of enabling all disadvantaged communities access to women’s health services.

These services include free education on women’s health, free mammograms, free pap smears, free clinical examinations and free demonstrations on how to do breast self-examinations.

PinkDrive is the beneficiary of the tour, with a portion of the proceeds from the shows going towards the mobile units.
