Summertime theatre at Foxwood

HOUGHTON ESTATE - Foxwood Theatre kicks off its summer season with exciting new live shows.

As Joburgers return to work, Foxwood Theatre offers an opportunity to make the most of the summer warmth with two new performances soon to hit the stage at this boutique theatre.

Shakespeare in the Summer Garden sees celebrated South African actress Dorothy Ann Gould join forces with the talented performers from JAM to bring a selection from the works of Shakespeare to the Foxwood garden. Gould is no stranger to the bard herself, and now brings audiences the opportunity to bathe in summer warmth beneath the oaks and delight in Shakespeare’s words. Performances will take place on 24 January at 5.30pm and 25 January at 12pm.

The talented Neil Jardene, meanwhile, brings hilarious comedy to the stage with Headmaster! Headmaster!

A comedy filled with sympathetic characters, the performance exposes all the ups and downs, joys and problems, and especially the people of a school – all from the perspective of the headmaster. Performances take place on Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 12pm between 31 January and 8 February.

Finally, audiences who missed out on the first run of the nostalgic three-person cabaret show, Two’s Company, Three’s a Show need not despair, as the show will return to the stage soon.
