Banff Film Festival premiers at Bioscope

The premiere was held for the sponsors of the festival, Cape Union Mart, members of the media and the winner of the Cape Union Mart Adventure Challenge, JP Kotze, whose short film was also screened.

Kotze’s documentary, narrated in Afrikaans, appeared along with Banff’s best adventure films.

“I chose to have the film narrated in Afrikaans as I wanted it to be as genuine as I could be, and what better way than in my own language,” he said.

Guests of the night enjoyed drinks, pizza from Chalkboard and the screening of the highly anticipated film festival.

The tour promises to bring the best of adventure and outdoor lifestyle documentaries to local shores and will soon be screened countrywide at select Ster-Kinekor theatres.
