My Favourite Swings set to wow at Lyric Theatre
Featuring the talented Timothy Moloi, My Favourite Swings will hit the Lyric Theatre for one night only.
Acclaimed singing sensation, Timothy Moloi and rising star, ChianoSky are set to thrill when they join the Johannesburg Big Band in the upcoming show, My Favourite Swings.
The show will take place for one night only at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on 2 August at 8pm and promises to captivate audiences will popular jazz hits.
According to producer of the show, Collett Dawson My Favourite Swings will pay tribute to some of the most well-known swing and jazz songs.
“[We] are thrilled at the incredible response we’ve already garnered with our first two…events and feel so honoured that The Lyric Theatre want us back again,” she said.
She added that having Moloi and ChianoSky featured in the show again would be great for the show and this would ensure that “audiences are in for a not-to-be-missed treat”.
Some of the hits to be featured include Sway, Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend and Wonderful World.
The Johannesburg Big Band consists of 17 of the most talented jazz and session musicians in South Africa and was formed in 2011. Moloi is an acclaimed singer renowned for stellar performances which includes his collaboration with the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra in the show From Russia with Love.
ChianoSky is a talented singer known for hits such as Sick Sick, Walking Away and Act Like a Man.
