An evening of luxurious living

JOBURG - Take a stroll with author and inner-city enthusiast Gerald Garner through a part of the city where the streets are just about paved with gold.

The Apprentice Penthouse Experience will take sightseers through the city’s gleaming corporate mining district and will end at The Cornerhouse’s prestigious Apprentice Penthouse.

“Experience the beauty of Joburg’s most upmarket district, learn about the area’s fascinating history, enjoy the view from the city’s most spectacular penthouse balcony, and taste an informal but scrumptious dinner by Neville Josie, paired with exquisite Zevenwacht wines,” said the Joburg Places author.

One of Africa’s landmark buildings, The Cornerhouse is in the heart of the financial district, and is regarded as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city.

It was originally designed as the head offices of the Anglo mining group, and saw magnates like such as Sir Ernst Oppenheimer and Cecil John Rhodes pass through its doors.

The penthouse received its name when the first season of reality TV show, The Apprentice was filmed there.

The Apprentice Penthouse Experience will take place on 1 March at 5.30pm.

Booking is essential.
