Northview High School hosts development run

HIGHLANDS NORTH - Northview High School hosted a development run on 24 April to promote a healthy and moral lifestyle. Boston City Campus, located on Louis Botha Avenue in Highlands North, hosted the event by providing the students with laptop bags, T-shirts and stationery.

Martie Britz of Northview High School said, “Our message was rather turn to sport instead of doing drugs and participating in crime. Five groups comprising eight pupils each participated in the race. One group only had seven pupils.”

According to Britz, 39 pupils faced-up to the rain with ease as there was so much excitement surrounding the event.

Britz added, “A 24-hour continuation of the race was run by adults on the school grounds on 24 and 25 April. Both of the events were highly successful and in all my time teaching at the school I have never seen so much dedication to an event by our pupils.”
