Support Parkview Senior Primary’s Colour Me Fun Run

PARKVIEW – Join the run in support of Parkview Senior Primary School.

Parkview Senior Primary School looks forward to welcoming the local community to join their Colour Me fun run of 5km on 27 October.

The walk aims to raise funds for school upgrades and subsidies for learners who cannot afford fees.

The community fun walk, which has become a highlight on the leafy suburb’s calendar, takes off from the school, through Parkview, around Zoo Lake and through the adjacent streets of Parkwood before ending at the school.

A variety of breakfast goodies and beverages will also be on sale at the school with snacks along the way for those who need an energy boost. There will also be at least one water point en route for athletes and their pets.

Young and old enjoy participating in last year’s Parkview Senior Primary Colour Me fun run.

Participants are encouraged to dress in their brightest and boldest clothes with intermittent colour blasts along the route. As an additional incentive, there will also be loads of prizes up for grabs for the fastest runners and best-dressed man, woman, child and dog.

“It promises to be the most colourful, wonderful sight to see participants strutting their stuff around this charming suburb,” said Nasira Bhikha-Vallee of the PTA.

The event costs R80 for adults, R50 for children under 14, pensioners and dogs. Babies in strollers can enter free.

The run will begin at 7.30am at the school.

The public is urged to enter online at www.parkviewsenior.co.za
