Schools can win at the SPAR Women’s Race Joburg

EMMARENTIA – Any school that enters more than 20 girls is eligible for prizes at the SPAR Women's Race Joburg.

SPAR and Mustek Electronics have joined forces to enable three schools to win valuable computer equipment and accessories worth thousands of rands at this year’s SPAR Women’s Race Joburg.

The three schools with the most entries for the 10km challenge and 5km fun run/walk at Marks Park on 7 October will win a Mecer laptop with a Win7 starter and school image.

In addition, the school with the most entrants will also win a Brother flatbed colour print, fax, copy and scan printer.

The school that comes second will receive a Brother flatbed laser monoprint, fax, copy and scan printer.

Any school that enters more than 20 girls is eligible for prizes. The entry forms must be submitted together before 25 September.

Girls taking part in the 10km challenge need to be 15 or over, but the 5km fun run/walk is available to girls over nine, which means primary schools also stand a chance of winning these wonderful prizes.

Although some girls will be eager to run, walkers are also welcome in both competitions. Many girls will welcome this as an opportunity to chat with their friends.

Schools could add to the fun of running an internal competition to see which class or house has the most entries.

In addition to helping their school stand a chance of winning a computer, and having a fun day out when Joburg is looking its best, the entrants will also have the satisfaction of knowing that they are doing their bit for a very important charity.

Proceeds from the race will go to Reach for Recovery, a support group for women with breast cancer.

Entry forms are available at all SPAR, SuperSPAR and KwikSPAR stores, or online at www.spar.co.za
