HOUGHTON – The St John's Easter Rugby Festival ended off on a high note.

The St John’s College Easter Rugby Festival reached its last day with incredible rugby games on 2 April.

The hosts also had an exceptional performance during their first win against the Lions Invitational team. Following St John’s College’s losses against Helpmekaar and Hilton College, they were able to take advantage of a slow start in the match against the Lions with a try from Captain Daniel Archer. They moved into the second half with a dominant performance and ended the game with win of 27–8.

St Alban’s College ended their great festival with a tremendous performance against Eye of the Tiger, beating them 45–7.

The St Alban’s team dominated the game throughout, ending the first half at 21–0, thanks to terrific work from fullback Blane Campbell and the conversion work of fly-half Sifiso Nhlapo. They then moved into the second half with a similar confidence defeating Eye of the Tiger, who left the festival without a win.
