Caxton gets two nominations for 2017 Gauteng Sports Awards

CRAIGHALL PARK – Caxton has secured two nominations ahead of the announcement of the 2017 Gauteng Sports Award winners. Caxton journalist and finalist in the category of Sports Journalist of the Year, Tshepiso Mametela shares his excitement.

 

The highly-anticipated announcement of this year’s finalists for the coveted Gauteng Sports Awards took place at the Green Hills Stadium in Randfontein on 8 September.

Caxton is in the running with two nominations. Journalist, Tshepiso Mametela got the nod in the category of Sports Journalist of the Year together with Mbali Mokoko and Zipporah Lusunye of Kaya FM and Alex FM, respectively.

Alex News will battle it out with Thetha FM and Jozi FM in the category of Community Media of the Year. It is the second year running that a Caxton publication has secured a berth in this category.

Winners will automatically qualify as finalists for the South African Sports Awards that will be held later on in the year.
