256 drunk drivers arrested

Metro police revealed that they have made 256 drunk driving arrests in Johannesburg recently.

The motorists were arrested during a special Metro police operations from 18 to 20 November.

In one incident, a drunk driver was arrested at about 10.30am on 20 November for driving through a barricade along Jan Smuts Avenue in Rosebank and nearly injuring cyclists during the 947 Cycle Challenge.
