Highlands Park calls on young footballers to register

HIGHLANDS PARK - Highlands Park Football Club is calling on all young footballers who wish to be part of this prestigious club to register on 17 January at Gemmil Park in Linksfield.

All players between the ages of six and 19 are welcome to register. Parents and players are reminded that the league commences in February and early registration is essential.

The club has 19 teams in different age groups in the juniors league division with more than 130 players.

Highlands Park prides itself as one of the best clubs in the country when it comes to the development of young players, having produced players that have gone on to become household names in South African football.

The club’s junior team is run by Judit Sassu and Debbie IIouze, while the seniors are co-chaired by Larry Brookestone and Brad Kaftel.

“Highlands Park is where we concentrate on development and skills, we have a team of dedicated coaches who will put your kids needs as a priority,” said IIouze.

She added that they are collecting old soccer boots and school shoes which can be dropped off at Gemmil Park, and will be given to disadvantaged communities.

Registration will start from 9am to 12pm.

Details: Debbie IIouze 082 560 9830.
