Wanderers claims fourth Ram Slam Catch a Million winner

JOBURG - The Ram Slam T20 Catch a Million competition has produced a fourth winner at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium.

Scott Watson became the fourth cricket fan to claim a share of the R1 million on offer in the competition that is offering the prize money for a one-handed crowd catch.

Sitting in the Centenary Stand at the bizhub Highveld Lions vs Sunfoil Dolphins match, Watson remembers moving his beer from his right hand to his left so he could take the catch with his right hand.

“I caught off Dolphins player Vaughan van Jaarsveld and beyond that I can’t recall much,” he said.

“I do remember being concerned about breaking my hand as I am going on a golf tour on Thursday and know how hard our cricketers hit the balls these days.”

Watson joins three other winners to date, Nkateko Shilubane and the two matric pupils, Christiaan Vlok and Jean de Wet, which would result in each of the men taking home R250 000 each should no further catches be taken.

With only 12 games remaining, fans are encouraged to continue to attend games and stake their claim in catching a six and joining in the significant competition prize pot.
