Spring charity golf challenge

JOBURG - A spring charity golf challenge was held at the Observatory Golf Club to raise much-needed funds for various health, welfare, and educational projects that Abused and Abandoned Kids Educational Excursions (Aaakee) handle.

Observatory Golf Club is the oldest golf club in Johannesburg still operating from its original grounds.

Money raised from this fundraising event will be used to benefit the Active Education and Food Funds of Aakee who do charitable work all around Johannesburg. The organisation caters to more than 1 200 children from six different homes and assists the children with food parcels, uniforms and learning materials, takes them on excursions and hold Christmas parties for them.

Over 100 people enjoyed a fun game of golf and interacted with different companies present at the golf club who had the opportunity to advertise on the golf course for a fee of R4 000.

The game was followed by a dinner and prizegiving.
