In a few days time, domestic football will return with this year’s edition of the MTN8 competition ushering in the 2015/16 season.
All the MTN8 quarter final fixtures will be played mid-week this season on 4 and 5 August and the Premier Soccer League has confirmed that tickets for the fixtures are now available at Computicket and Shoprite stores countrywide.
The league has urged football supporters to purchase their tickets to witness the first act of this season. Last season’s finalists, Orlando Pirates, will kick off against Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday night, 4 August, at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto; while SuperSport United will travel to the heart of Johannesburg for a clash against Bidvest Wits at the Bidvest Stadium at the same time.
On 5 August, defending champions Kaizer Chiefs will host Maritzburg United who will make their debut in this competition. This clash will be held at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.
On the same night, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic will lock horns at the Lucas ‘Masterpieces’ Moripe Stadium in Tshwane.
