Another Kevin Anderson in the making?
HOUGHTON - Michael Copland, a St John’s Grade 11 pupil represented South African Schools on their tennis tour to Scotland and England.
Copland, who started playing tennis at the age of six won all his single matches on the tour. “Representing South Africa, playing for South Africa has been my goal since I was 10 and now realising it has happened gives me a great sense of accomplishment,” he said.
“The experience was absolutely magnificent – I’m still struggling to find the best adjective to describe it. The tour has inspired me to push myself much harder with my tennis career and to achieve greater goals. I am so lucky to be blessed by God in this way.”
