Parkview Squash Centre hosts Central Gauteng Tournament

PARKVIEW - The Parkview Squash Centre recently hosted the Patrons Central Gauteng Closed Squash Tournament.

The event helps the central Gauteng squash selectors to finalise the order of the teams to participate in the inter-provincial tournament in July.

The tournament in Parkview saw some very exciting squash take place with players trying to prove themselves and ensure their selection into the teams.

The men’s final was a game of great sportsmanship, and both players, Thoboki Mohohlo and Michael Wood, displayed extreme agility.

Mohohlo dominated most of the first half of the match and played fast and steady. Mohohlo won the men’s title of the tournament with a final score of 3-2 over Wood.

In the women’s category, Elani Landman was in great form and played a very strategic game against Cheyna Tucker. Landman ultimately beat Tucker with an overall score of 3-1.
