Barker can’t believe his fortune

JOBURG - Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Clive Barker, who said he has never bought himself a brand new vehicle, was at a loss for words when he was handed keys to a Toyota fortuner.

Mpumalanga Black Aces coach Clive Barker, who said he had never bought himself a brand new vehicle, was at a loss for words when he was handed keys to a new Toyota Fortuner.

He was among several club officials who were handed keys to brand new vehicles by Ermelo Toyota, who have shown faith in Aces by renewing their official vehicle partnership with the club for a second year running. Dealer principal Noeline Loubser handed over the keys to the vehicles after a team training session at the Greek Sporting Club in Linksfield.

Barker was given a new top-of-the-range Fortuner and was very chuffed by the gesture. “Honestly speaking, I’ve never driven a brand new car in my life and I come to Aces and have now received my second new car. Thanks very much Noeline and ’big-ups’ for supporting football.”

Loubser responded, “We are very happy and proud to be associated with Mpumalanga Black Aces and while its a costly venture for us as a dealership, it’s money well worth spent. The Aces brand has grown substantially and we have all become huge football fans.”

Aces chairman Mario Morfou was delighted with the motor dealer’s continued support.

“They are such a professional outfit and a pleasure to deal with, and we feel truly honoured to be continuing our partnership.”
