Parkview Golf Club building links with residents

PARKVIEW - Parkview Golf Club’s newly-elected president, Colin Robinson has pledged to continue building the club’s links with the residents of the suburbs around it.

“We see the club as an integral part of Parkview, Greenside and Emmarentia, and we want residents to share the amenities the club offers, particularly as we approach our [centennial anniversary] next year,” said Robinson.

Robinson lives and runs a business in Parkview, has been a resident in the suburb for more than 40 years, and has been a club member for nearly 20 years.

“Understandably, as a golf club our priority is to attract new golfing members and increase their use of the Parkview course. We have several offers available to suit golfers young and old,” he said.

“But residents should not feel excluded. We are developing social memberships for members of the residents’ associations around us. We are welcoming more and more locals to enjoy our weekday breakfasts and lunches, our Sunday brunches and our friendly pub.”

The club also offers the clubhouse lounge for exclusive private functions.

“Through the local residents’ associations we are now communicating regularly with the people in the suburbs around the golf course to strengthen our relationships,” said Robinson.
