Tickets for the Soweto MTN8 semi-final derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs were selling like hot cakes.
Less than 8 000 tickets were available for the match in just under 48 hours after sales opened last Thursday. The match takes place at the Orlando Stadium on 24 September.
The Premier Soccer League confirmed that there were about 1 600 tickets available for the second MTN8 semi-final between Bidvest Wits and Platinum Stars, which takes place at the Bidvest Stadium on the same day.
The R10 category tickets for children under the age of 12 for the Pirates/Chiefs clash was sold out.
Tickets are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers countrywide. The first semi-final between the Soweto giants kicks off at 3pm and the second semi-final is at 7.30pm.
