Jacci Babich from Northcliff responds to Councillor’s Corner: The infamous billing crisis:
Ever since the African National Congress (ANC) decided to remove all the municipalities and create a floundering mega city in the bowels of which they can hide their crooked dealings, we have had a billing crisis. What Ward 88 councillor Nicholas Lorimer did not add to his comments is the current opinion among ratepayers that the ANC are very sore losers. Are they not trying to deliberately sabotage the system?
Judging by the millions lost to us hardworking ratepayers that have been uncovered so far by the pocket-filling dirty deals done by the previous incumbents, it could well be the case.

We need good honest workers in place who are qualified to do the job properly and put the City of Johannesburg and South Africa first. You have a grim task ahead of you getting things to run properly again but short-changed ratepayers are right behind you. We can see improvements slowly happening. Thank you for the recent work done cleaning up Beyers Naude Drive, a main arterial which the ANC virtually ignored for the past 20 years, including the substation.
