Taxis are too much

We have the same taxi problem at the corner of Kent and Oxford roads in Dunkeld, where traffic turns left into Oxford road from Kent.

Taxis drive on the wrong side of the road, blocking traffic. A few years ago a staff member had a bad accident here due to a taxi driving on the wrong side of the road.

Also, at the corner of Jan Smuts Avenue and Bompas Road, Dunkeld West, taxis on Jan Smuts use the left turning lane but drive straight on, cutting in front of motorists also driving straight on.

This happens on a daily basis and it is really frustrating for motorists. Every now and then I’ve seen the odd Metro cop sitting there, but doing nothing about the taxis.
