Two St Mary’s School, Waverley hockey players chosen for SA hockey team

Selected St Mary's School, Waverley hockey players will play for two South African U18 teams.

Two first-team hockey players from St Mary’s School, Waverley were selected for South African U18 teams.

The head of hockey at the school Cindy Brown said this was after the U18 inter-provincial hockey tournament held in Bloemfontein on June 24–30.

Head of marketing Kathy Mittendorf said Hannah White in Grade 12 and current St Mary’s School hockey captain, was selected for the South African U18A team and Zenande Mbatsha in Grade 12 and current St Mary’s School hockey vice-captain, was selected for the South African U18B side.

“The U18A side will return to Bloemfontein on July 12 where they will play a series of matches against the South African U21 women’s team as well as a Free State women’s side,” said Mittendorf.
