Siphesihle Community Club celebrates Heritage Day

Traditional dancing, gumboot dancers and local traditional foods were available at the Siphesihle Community Club Heritage Day event.

Siphesihle Community Club hosted a Heritage Day event at Old Age Park, Bramley View. The community was entertained with traditional dancing, gumboot dancers, singing and feasting on many different local traditional foods at the event on September 24. Ylla Sentzikas of the Siphesihle Community Club said speakers spoke on the importance of celebrating heritage and creating awareness around gender-based violence. The children were entertained with a jumping castle, face painting, traditional games and party packs.
