VOX POP: How do you feel about private businesses helping the city with load-shedding issues?

Rosebank Management district teams up with Standard Bank to power traffic lights during loadshedding.

Standard Bank has teamed up with the Johannesburg Roads Agency and the Rosebank Management District to power four traffic intersections around its Rosebank campus in a bid to improve mobility in the node during load-shedding. Rosebank Killarney Gazette went to ask the residents of Rosebank how they feel about private businesses helping the city with load-shedding issues.

This is what they had to say:

Karabo Molepo: It's better that there is more than one resource that can assist the city with the load-shedding issue, which lightens the weight.

Ogwan Chabalala: As much as it is the government's responsibility to ensure everything in the country is well-functional, having independent sectors volunteering to assist with the matter at hand, shows that we are a united nation.
