People attended in numbers in remembrance of the late Tata’s good heart for giving to the less unfortunate.

Ladles of Love chief operating officer Candice Etberg said it had been a lot of work preparing for Mandela Day. There were eight activation stations that allowed people to choose an activity that they wanted to do for 67 minutes in aid of various Early Child Development centres. The activities included the sowing of vegetable seeds to be distributed to schools for vegetable gardens, and making sandwiches and putting together soup packs for the less fortunate.

Also lending a helping hand were employees from testing, inspection and certification services company Bureau Veritas. The company said this initiative was a testament to its commitment to serving others and upholding the values of integrity, ethics, and social responsibility.

Through collaboration with Ladles of Love, Bureau Veritas demonstrated its belief in the power of collective action and community engagement.
