Tenth Sports donates equipment to the Greenside Netball Club

Over 5000 equipment recieved by the Greenside Netball Club.

Greenside Netball Club is the proud new recipient of brand-new netball equipment, sponsored by Tenth Sports.

The club is working towards finding sustainable lighting solutions to continue growing the sport and providing a fun, safe and encouraging environment for women, youth and people of Greenside, Parkhurst, Parktown and surrounding areas. “Netball is our absolute passion. We talk, live and breathe everything netball and continue to grow from strength to strength,” said the coach of the netball club, Maria Singh.

She added the sponsorship and support of the retailer would help with developing and building the team’s skills and morale. Tenth Sports has kindly sponsored their senior and junior teams with brand-new balls, cones, hurdles, agility ladders, whistles, skipping ropes, netball nets, and agility poles. The training equipment was worth more than R5 000 worth.

The club hopes to soon find a sponsor for adequate solar floodlighting on its courts as this would allow the players to train longer into the night as currently they were limited to 45-minute practices. “We are very lucky to receive such a generous sponsor and will look forward to building stronger links in the wider netball community.”

The club trains on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00 at Greenside High School and welcomes players of all ages. They will soon host a fundraising netball league to help raise funds. For more information, please contact Singh on 072 442 2308.
