Craighall Park residents face another water leak
Joburg Water has not given residents a response regarding the leakage on corner Montrose and Jan Smuts avenues.
Craighall Park residents are faced with another water leak on the corner of Jan Smuts and Montrose avenues.
The constant flow of water down the road for three weeks prompted resident Philemon Moagi to report it to Joburg Water (JW) on June 8. He said JW visited the site and was told the problem was on upper Jan Smuts in Hyde Park with the water flowing down towards Montrose.
According to him, the leak on upper Jan Smuts had been repaired but he was surprised that the water was still flowing at the Jan Smuts/Montrose intersection.
He said ward councillor Martin Williams was doing his best to get the issue resolved.
JW’s media liaison Nolwazi Dlamini was asked for comment via email but there had been no response at the time of going to press.
