The Parks play with two teams in friendly matches

The Parks expressed their gratitude for a solar light donated by one resident to help them when practicing late in the day.

Two teams joined The Parks netball team in friendly games played at Parkhurst Primary School.

The friendly matches were held on June 10 where Ninjas from Brixton, Rise and Shine from Eastgate and The Parks from Parkhurst played each other.

Busi Zikhali of The Parks said she was happy with the way the team was improving every day. She said the game had gone well regardless of delays and everyone enjoyed it. Zikhali also extended her gratitude to community member Michael Harty who had donated a solar light.

“As he [Harty] was passing by, he noticed that we were playing in the dark and realised we needed a light so that we wouldn’t get injured. We are happy because we can now play until even 22:00. We are grateful for the light because we can now practise properly after work,” said Zikhali.
