Impilo raised R35 000 through padel

Impilo raimed and raised R35 000 through the padel challenge in Linksfield.

Impilo staff and members of the community broke a sweat on padel courts in Linksfield on June 4 to raise funds for the NGO.

Arlene Zlotnick, in charge of fundraising for the NGO, said, “I thought this challenge would work well because families, colleagues and communities could get together and play sports to raise money. We hoped to raise approximately R35 000 which we did. The event was more about getting the NGO’s name out there and we hope to make this annual event and take it all over the country to places like Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha.”

Impilo director Sue Krawitz said the event was fun, especially because it was her first time playing the sport.

“I am glad it was sunny which is lovely weather to play sports in. Raising R35 000 makes me grateful and happy because this is money which will go a long way for the charity.”
