The narrator was Nozipho Tshabalala, a devoted advocate for children’s literacy and the well-being of people experiencing homelessness, particularly women and children.

Followed by the book reading, children and the youth took part in a tree-planting event, aligning with Children’s Gardening Week.

This initiative was aimed at promoting gardening activities and inspiring young minds to contribute towards food security and combating climate change actively. By instilling the message that ‘It is in your hands’, children are empowered to make a positive impact on the environment and create a sustainable future.
