St Teresa’s head girl looks forward to matric dance and leadership role

Omelina Temgoua said, "This year can be compared to a ship, in which both I and the grade have had to learn to navigate ourselves and find our own directions."

St Teresa‘s learner, Omelina Temgoua shares her learned experiences from grade 11.

Temgoua said 2022 year was filled with obstacles and new beginnings.

“This year can be compared to a ship, in which both I and the grade have had to learn to navigate ourselves and find our own directions. As we are returning to the old norm, we were presented with the privilege to have had an exceptional sports season, face exposure to new experiences, and learn more about each other as a grade as well as returning to old traditions.”

The 2023 head girl added that the challenges she faced included adapting to new situations and roles, but the challenges moulded and strengthened the girls’ bond, not only as a grade but as a community.

Temgoua concluded that she looked forward to the school’s matric dance.

“2023 is hopefully going to be an eventful year, with the opportunity to play sports in our new sports facilities, as well as meeting and forming new bonds with our Rosebuds as the Matric class of 2023. I’m looking forward to the future and feeling grateful for the past.”
