Parktown High School for Girls learner’s dream comes true

Parktown Girls grade 8 learner pleasantly surprised by high school experience.

Parktown Girls learner Lehlogonolo Ramoshaba reflected on the first year of being at her dream school.

Ramoshaba said she had always dreamt of being at the all-girls high school.

“Every fantasy has its very harsh realities that we have to confront, like days when the workload weighs a ton or when I’m too physically exhausted to do my sports. I’ve had my fair share of these experiences this year and I have learnt to train or work my absolute hardest on these days and persevere through them. A bad day is not equivalent to a bad life.”

The Grade 8 learner added that the friendships she had formed have quickly become a healthy sisterhood.

She noted that she felt a strong sense of belonging at Parktown Girls.

“Being in such a diverse environment, I am able to find people that are similar to me in many ways and some that are completely different from me, however, that is where the beauty of my school lies, the multiculturalist society.”

Ramoshaba concluded that high school had made her grow academically and interpersonally over the months.
