Houghton and surrounds without water due to burst pipe

Johannesburg Water has not provided the time of completion at this stage.

Johannesburg Water has given an update regarding the burst pipe on Houghton Drive and Carse O’Gowrie Road on September 24.

“The excavation has been completed to expose the damaged main. Teams will commence with welding once water levels have subsided further.”

Affected areas include:

Linksfield,  Glenhazel,  Rouxville,  Highlands North,  Fairmount,  Fairmount ridge,  Glensan, Dunhill,  Hawkins Estate,  Cheltondale,  Sunningdale,  Raumarais  Park, Linksfield North,  Griswold, Forbesdale, Fellside, Fairwood,  Bramley,  Bramley Park,  Abbotsford,  Victoria,  Orange Grove,  Oaklands,  Melrose North,  Maryvale, Norwood,  Sandringham,  Orchards,  Sydenham,  Waverly,  Houghton Estate,  Fairvale,  Savoy Estate,  Kew and Raedene Estate

There is no estimated time for completion at this stage.
