Parktown Girls recently celebrated its annual reunion

Parktown High School For Girls turned 99 years old on September 2.

Parktown High School for Girls celebrated their annual old girls’ lunch as an extension of their birthday celebration.

Headmistress Tracey Megom said the school’s alumni were welcomed by the sounds of our magnificent Marimba band.

“This year’s oldest old girl was Yvonne Rimmer who completed Grade 12 in 1960 and was celebrating her 62nd matric reunion. We also had a large representation of alumni from the 2012 and 2002 matric groups.”

Megom added the reunion was attended by old girls from the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal and Australia.

“It was fantastic to be able to host this function again, after a two-year absence due to Covid, and we really enjoyed catching up and finding out what all our girls are doing with themselves, and we thank the almost 100 old girls who made the effort to attend.”
