Bilbo Baggins is back, and this time he’s ready to take audiences on another unforgettable adventure at the National Children’s Theatre (NCT). Based on Greg Banks’ 2019 adaptation, this unique stage version of JRR Tolkien’s beloved story invites young audiences on a fast-paced journey. “It’s an adventure that uses the imagination of the audience,” says Swerdlow. The hour-long production, tailored for children aged 7 to 16, follows Bilbo, Gandalf, and a group of dwarves on their quest to reclaim treasure from Smaug, the dragon.

Led by a talented five-person cast, including Gamelihle Bovana as Bilbo, the show is brought to life with creative lighting, set design, and music, enhancing the fantasy world of Middle-earth.
