Precision and poise earned Ramy 2024 All Africa 6 Reds title

Omar Ramy clinched the 2024 All Africa 6 Reds title with a decisive 6-4 win against Mohamed Ibrahem.

The Wanderers Snooker Club, a premier venue renowned for its world-class facilities, hosted the All Africa Snooker Championships from August 12–21.
The pinnacle of the tournament, the final of the 6 Reds Masters Championship, took place on August 16, delivering an exhilarating showcase of snooker skills.

The 6 Reds Masters Championship, a format celebrated for its fast-paced and tactical play, featured some of the continent’s most skilled cueists. The match saw Egyptian cueist Omar Ramy emerge victorious, defeating his fellow countryman Mohamed Ibrahem 6–4 in a contest brimming with drama and precision.

From the outset, the final showcased a high level of snooker prowess. Ramy took an early lead, setting a strong pace and demonstrating his tactical acumen. However, Ibrahem, a two-time African Champion with a wealth of experience, rallied fiercely to level the score at 4–4, creating a tense and electrifying atmosphere.

The decisive moments unfolded with both players exhibiting remarkable skill under pressure. Ramy, known for his calm demeanour and strategic play, managed to maintain his composure and delivered a crucial break of 38 in the final frame. This critical performance allowed him to secure a 6–4 victory, sealing his place as the 2024 All Africa 6 Reds Champion.

The final was proof of Ramy’s exceptional talent and highlighted the high calibre of snooker in Egypt. Both finalists demonstrated why they are among the continent’s best, with Ramy’s victory underscoring a significant achievement in African snooker.
