Parkview police officer allegedly shoots girlfriend multiple times and kills himself
Despite being shot multiple times the girlfriend survived the brutal attack.
A tragic incident unfolded in Doornfontein on August 21, when a 24-year-old Parkview SAPS constable Kabelo Mashele is reported to have shot his girlfriend before taking his own life.
The girlfriend, who survived the attack, was transported to Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital for medical care.
SAPS Johannesburg District spokesperson, Captain Jeff Phora confirmed that the officer was off-duty at the time when he shot his girlfriend multiple times. He is then suspected to have turned the firearm on himself.
