Wanderers Squash Club members polish their skills

The Wanderers squash section was established 136 years ago.

Running, swinging and happy sighs dominated Wanderers Club Squash Courts squash courts on August 11, during social practice.

The Wanderers Club squash section has been in existence since the establishment of the club.

The publication visited the courts while players polished their skills and competed against one another.

According to coach Chris Hughes, there are eight courts, seven traditional cluster courts four which have glass doors at the back to make the game visible, and balconies.

Hughes added the club’s glass court was the only permanently installed court in the country, with a viewing capacity of more than 200 people.

A frequent squash player, Erin Kydd-Bennett, said she enjoyed playing the sport at the club.

“I come frequently to play because my dad is a player and I have also enjoyed playing the sport on some Sundays.”
