Dada Morero elected as Joburg mayor
The African National Congress' Dada Morero is back again to serve the City of Joburg as the Executive Mayor.
Dada Morero has been elected as the new Executive Mayor for the City of Johannesburg.

This follows Al Jama-ah‘s Kabelo Gwamanda’s resignation on August 13.

Morero was elected and sworn in at the 30th extra-ordinary council meeting of the City of Johannesburg on August 16, at the Constance Bapela Council Chamber, Metropolitan Centre in Braamfontein.

Morero is the City’s Finance MMC and is also Joburg ANC regional chairperson. In 2022 he was elected as mayor but only served 25 days before he was removed.
