Excitement, running, and bouncing balls filled the Wanderers Club’s basketball courts on June 15.
Senior group head coach Brian Masenda said the U11 and U12 practice taught players basketball from scratch.
“Today we worked on ball handling, and shooting and mimicked tournament games to work on their skills. The U12–13 age group is still learning basketball from scratch and we are building their skills.”
Masenda added that the Scorpions Wanderer’s team is a development club and children from as young as three until age 21 could join and be taught skills or hone their existing skills.
Locals can join practice on Friday afternoon for the basketball mini (ages 0–5) and Sparks (ages 6–8) basketball sessions. Group 1 runs from 16:00 to 17:00 while group 2 takes the court from 17:00 to 18:00.
Head coach Brian Masenda can be contacted on 083 325 7719 to secure their spot and get all the details.
