Parktown-based non-profit organisation raises funds through fitness

ACFS aims to support children who are born into poverty and poor circumstances.

Parktown-based non-profit organisation Advancing Children for Success (ACFS) raised funds through Padel Day on May 31, at Pirates Padel in Greenside.

ACFS’ executive director, Bartha Magoge, explained that the money fundraised would go towards the NPO’s different programmes.

“Today is about fundraising to support the programmes established in the organisation. This day is to raise awareness about the organisation to our donors and funders about the goals we achieve.”

The invited corporates paid R500 to play a padel game which will go towards the children in need.

ACFS aims to support children who are born into poverty and poor circumstances including children who have no access to early childhood education, and no good nutrition and health.

The NPO serves over 26 000 children aged 0–18 years and is supported in different activities and programmes.

Magoge concluded, “We launched a youth programme that provides skills such as artesian which allow the youth to participate in the economy.”
