Kellanova's Power of Breakfast event brought together nutrition experts and local influencers at the Venue Summit Place in Melrose Arch to discuss the future of healthy eating.

The Power of Breakfast event was hosted by Kellanova at the Venue Summit Place in Melrose Arch on June 20, showcasing its ongoing commitment to enhancing nutrition and public health in South Africa.

This event served as a platform to discuss the vital role breakfast plays in daily nutrition and how innovative product developments can contribute to healthier lifestyles.

The campaign highlights Kellanova’s dedication to supporting public health goals by providing nutritious breakfast options. During the event, experts and company representatives highlighted the importance of a balanced breakfast in maintaining energy levels, boosting mental performance, and supporting overall well-being.

One of the key discussions at the event was the introduction of Kellanova’s revamped children’s cereal portfolio, which now features a 25% reduction in sugar and enhancements in nutritional content, including added iron and seven B vitamins. These changes are part of the company’s efforts to address concerns about sugar consumption and to provide healthier options for children.

Attendees also learned about the benefits of different ranges such as digestive health with added iron and zinc, high fibre content and 50% less sugar.

Zandile Mposelwa, corporate affairs director at Kellanova, spoke about the company’s approach to product innovation, emphasising the importance of listening to consumer needs and incorporating the latest nutritional research and technology into their products.
