Grade 4 gymnast Emefa Afordofe springs to national glory

St Teresa’s Senior Primary School is flipping with joy as it celebrates the soaring gymnastics achievements of their Grade 4 dynamo, Emefa Afordofe.

St Teresa’s Senior Primary School is filled with enthusiasm and pride as it celebrates the phenomenal gymnastics achievements of Emefa Afordofe, a Grade 4 learner whose recent performances have been nothing short of extraordinary.

Emefa’s journey to the top began at the Central Gauteng District Championship, where she secured a gold medal with an impressive score of 36.35 points, earning her a well-deserved second place in her age group.

Riding on the wave of her success, she won the gold medal at the prestigious Gauteng Zone Gymnastics Championship with a score of 36.45 points, proving that her previous victory was no fluke.

These remarkable achievements qualified Emefa to compete at the National Gymnastics Championship, held in Pretoria on June 14–15. With the eyes of the nation upon her, Emefa delivered yet another gold-winning performance, further cementing her status as a rising star in the gymnastics world.
