In a touching display of community spirit, Pridwin Preparatory School reached out to support St Vincent’s School for the Deaf during their Africa Day celebrations. As part of their annual initiative, Pridwin collected non-perishable food items to create 75 food hampers, demonstrating their commitment to fostering community ties and helping those in need.

The hampers contained essentials like soap, toothpaste, rice, maize meal, soya mince, tinned food, sugar, tea bags, and samp. Grades 3 and 4 boys on June 5 delivered the hampers to a neighbouring school.

The visit was met with heartfelt gratitude from the learners and staff of St Vincent’s School for the Deaf. The delivery was not just about providing goods; it was about forging connections and offering support. Tamara Reddy, a teacher at Pridwin Prep, expressed her joy over the initiative’s success, saying, “The initiative was a great success because, with the help of our Pridwin community, we were able to assist 75 families with food hampers. This collection highlights the power of coming together as a community.”

The impact of this gesture resonated beyond the physical goods exchanged, serving as a reminder of the power of small acts of kindness. This collaboration reaffirmed Pridwin’s commitment to fostering community ties and supporting their neighbours in meaningful ways. As laughter filled the air and smiles abounded, it was clear that partnerships like these enrich lives and strengthen communities for the better.
