Park care residents celebrate Valentine’s Day
The centre is an NPO which provides 24-hour nursing care to frail long-term and short-term residents.

Park Care’s Parktown North Centre staff celebrated Valentine’s Day with residents on February 15.

Residents were spoiled with music, treats and food while seated on the lawn.

Social work manager at the centre, Lorraine Le Roux said the first day of the centre’s three events was made up of two volunteer singers who performed songs from the 60s and 70s for the residents.

“This is a way of celebrating Valentine’s month and there will be two more major events. We will serve special meals prepared for the residents. “

Le Roux added that Park Care hosted such events for its residents because they enjoy interacting with one another and the entertainment brought to them.
