Parkview resident gives back while achieving his dream
Sashin Nagoor donated his hair to CHOC.
Resident, Sashin Nagoor’s dream of being part of the Sound of Music cast at the Teatro in Monte Casino comes true.
Sashin said he has been doing drama and singing for numerous years but performing in the Sound of Music on a big stage for the first time was exciting.
The 12-year-old said his role required him to get rid of his long hair. “My hair has been long my whole life, and I was not sure if wanted to cut it, but my family said it would grow back I could donate it to CHOC for children with cancer.”
Sashin added that he was relieved to know that his hair was used to make a wig for a child who was losing hair and receiving cancer treatment.
He noted that being part of the show and making new friends has been an experience and he dreams of making it to Broadway one day.
