JRA asks motorists to be careful as summer rains bring floods
Many areas in the city flood easily, and motorists are being asked to drive with care during rainy conditions.
As Joburg’s weather continues to provide ample summer rain, Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has urged motorists to be extremely careful when driving, particularly in areas that are susceptible to flooding.
In a statement, JRA has urged the public to:
- Drive cautiously and avoid flooded areas.
- Report any road damage or blockages immediately.
- Stay informed about weather warnings and advisories.
- Regional standby teams are constantly monitoring and responding to any flooding emergencies, and the public is encouraged to contact the depot closest to them:
