Hunter said the launch of the academy was an exciting time. “It was all about getting familiar with the members of the club and showcasing our skills as coaches. Our journey began by pitching a proposal for a tender, and part of the process was to revamp and upgrade all 10 courts and lights at Wanderers Club to make Wanderers the place to be for tennis lovers.”

Mitchell added that one of their goals as coaches was to bring a high level of tennis to Wanderers which was why, as former professionals, they opened the courts with a game to showcase what it was they were trying to build at the club.
